The SmaBility demonstrator was split into the two use cases “Automated Driving” and “Parking Assistance”.
In the first uses case the focus of the demonstrator is to
design, test and integrate high performance embedded platform to identify optimum driving condition of highly automated vehicle by data processing and fusion of sensor data from all V2X IoT sensors
In this second use case a Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera, provided by Infineon Austria, was mounted on the demonstrator cars of Tecnalia and Virtual Vehicle (VIF). The parking assistance video is about the Visualisation of the ToF camera data done by VIF. It shows two scenarios (‘Reverse Parking’ and ‘Obstacle detection when backing out of a parking space’) and also the implemented person recognition.
